Tinkers construct best cleaver
All of the Tools and Weapons from Tinkers' Construct can be modified. Once an item is complete, you can use the Tool Station to add extra abilities to it. For instance, adding redstone to a pick will make a red wrap appear around the binding, while adding auto-repair to a pick will cause a green moss to cover a majority of it, and also cover up many of the other existing modifiers such as the redstone.
As such, if you plan on adding auto-repair, you may consider adding the moss first and the other modifiers later, so that those modifiers visibly stand out. For best results, experiment with different orderings in creative before committing in survival.
Using a paper binding allows the tool to have 4 modifiers. Making a tool all out of paper means will have 6 modifiers, but will have a slow mining speed and low harvest level. Can only be used once. These are based on mid-game materials. For any of ya'll playing Sevtech Ages, Here's the spreadsheet for you:. Longsword does more damage but attacks slightly slower than a Broadsword. Wow, it's been a while. How's the Coronio treating you all? I hope everyone's staying safe.
I'm now stuck at home and nothing else to do so I guess I'll put some hours into the spreadsheet. I've been thinking of reformatting a lot of this to make it easier to read because I've gotten a few complaints about it.
Let me know what you think! To Emboss a tool, put it into a Tool Forge, and combine it with; 1 Gold Block and 3 different color Slime Crystals 1 green1 blue1 orange. In this case, you would want to put a Mica Tool Rod onto it. Doing this, gives all.
Embossment does not require a modifier. After embossment, the sword still only 5-shots the Wither, but comes a lot closer to 4-shotting it. It will be much more effective against other bosses as well.
When creating the sword, try switching which slot the tough rods are in. One of the Tough Rods gets treated as an. Can kill the Wither in 3 hits super close to 2 hits though. Mobs killed have a chance to drop a Mystical Agriculture Mob Chunk. After the bonus' from the materials used, each hit will do 65 damage If you jump and crit the target, you do 96 damage 43 hearts non-armored target.
Using a Longsword gives a little more damage than a Broadsword and lets you lunge foward when you hold right click. Adding a Soulium sword blade as an embossment instead of as the actual Sword Blade is a great way to make a much more damaging 'Soulium Dagger'. Increases mining speed the higher it's mining level is above the required one. Base Mining Speed. In this case, you would want to put a Copper Tool Rod onto it. There's not very many special traits that are super important to have on a Hammer.
All you really need is Mining Speed and Durability but there are some useful utility traits. It doesn't matter which slot you place the Large Plates in because they're both treated as head parts. In this case, you would want to put a Copper Tough Tool Rod onto it. Doing this, gives all the traits of the material being used onto the tool while keeping all traits currently applied. Armor added with Constructs Armory and Armory Expansion.
To Emboss an armor piece, put it into a Armor Forge, and combine it with; 1 Gold Block and 3 different color Slime Crystals 1 green1 blue1 orange.

I made an all paper cleaver in HermitPack MC1. Then I changed blade to Manyullyn and one tool rod to Cobalt. Now it does Damage as you expect with one shotting blazes, but it takes durability. It will repair with paper, I haven't tried repairing with Manyullyn ingots yet. So now the tool: states Unbreakable but it has durability, and not much of it either.
Deals Manyullyn damage but repairs with paper is this because of the paper plate? Is this as expected?
If I lose modifiers by removing paper parts that is reasonable, but it would be great if the modifiers list updated. Suggested solutions: A: Update the modifiers list to reflect which are lost when parts are replaced. B: Retain the modifiers when parts are replaced. Edit: replaced the metal parts with paper again and the tool is no longer taking damage.
So removing paper parts inhibits modifiers doesnt remove them. By using multiple heads for a tool makes it possible to repair this tool with one of the two Resources. You could use even a wooden plate and an unimageable expensive excavator head. I have a sword that has unbreakable on it and Insatiable. HeavyDeception 2. The resolved tag for this issue was just added 3 days ago. Do the math. LovelyFlare Ok for one I did not know that is was released then and it could have been just a quick fix or something like that.
LovelyFlare Its sounds mean when you say it like that. I ain't that bright some times. Also thanks for the info. HeavyDeception I did not mean that in a mean way. I simply meant to say that one should try looking around a bit more before asking though I was in a bit of a cranky mood as well. I apologize for that. Skip to content. So, what is the best tinker's construct melee weapon type? Thread starter JoeOtaku Start date Dec 15, JoeOtaku New Member. I was thinking about broad sword or long sword.
I tried cleave but it's slowness turns me off. If i want max damage i will just go for a nano saber or something like that but i'm not rich enough yet to waste my stuff on that. Also can u guys list the materials and the modifiers you use on your sword? Still kinda new to tinkers construct and need your help. RedBoss New Member. As far as materials, if you're using ftb my recommendations won't be of much help.
Honestly the battle axe is my favorite weapon because it's hilarious looking and with dartcraft installed I can ride over water and ice using its speed buff.
In general i just use he broad sword. I like the idea of being able to decrease damage woth the block ability and my major offense is range attacks from mod bows or Thaumcraft wand foci. Plus being able to block creeper blasts early game is best for me. You can't do that with a rapier.Tinkers' Construct is a mod based on many different tools and weapons that can be customized fairly easily. You can unlock some tools with special abilities and some customization that vanilla tools may not have.
To get started with Tinkers', you will need a few logs. You should have a book to start off with and can be crafted into two other books. You can read them for basic information. Get yourself a few patterns and build yourself:. Grab another three patterns and put them into the Stencil Table.
You now have access to most of the stencils for different part of tools in Tinkers'! Get into the Part Builder and make one of each in wood.
Store your pattern in the Pattern Chest and go in the Tool Station. Click on the pickaxe and place the part in the right spot.

Name the pick if you want and take it out. Go mine a few Cobblestone and redo this whole operation from the Part Builder, but in stone! You can also grab yourself an hatchet, which is an axe, a shovel and a basic sword.
You can also mix and match different materials. Your tool broke? Go back to the Tool Station, put it in with a piece of the head's material and take it out with recovered durability.
Now you know how to repair your tool! To make parts out of metal, you will need the Smeltery. Grab yourself a stack of ClaySand and Gravel to combine them into two stacks of Grout. Smelt the Grout to get Seared Brick. While it's smelting, find a pool of Lavasince you will need it to smelt items in the Smeltery. Grab your Seared Bricks and make. You should have acquired a book on how to build the Smeltery! It also contains information on alloys and other properties of the Smeltery.
Build a 3x3 base out of Seared Bricks, then go up one and one out 5x5 and place the remaining blocks as you like. Be sure the drains' hole is pointing outwards and place Faucets on them. Place the Casting Table and Basin one block below the Faucets. Put your Lava into the tank. Now you have a Smeltery that is ready to go! Note that the Smeltery can be expanded upward. It can also be made in 5x5 of 7x7 dimensions instead of just the 3x3.
Also, it doubles ore-to-ingot output! All Tinker's Construct tools can be modified to allow for certain upgrades. Applying any of the below modifiers takes up one modifier slot, for which most tools have a default of three maximum. Sign In Don't have an account?

Attaching a solid gold apple and encrusting the tool with a block of diamond warps the tool in places you did not notice before. Working the tool with a nether star gives it the ability to attach parts they would not otherwise stay. Adding a large glob of gold and a bunch of string seems to give the tool silky-smooth properties.
Encrusting lapis on tools is a gift to the gods of luck.

They will bless your tool with great fortune and loot. Adds fortune or looting Tool use has a chance to increase the luck Adding more lapis only uses one modifier Not compatible with Silky.50 ATTACK DAMAGE CLEAVER! - Minecraft SMP #7
Adding blaze powder to a tool gives it a fiery tinge. The weapon's edges look like embers. Sadly not bright enough to be a light source. Sets enemies on fire Deals additional fire damage on hit Multiple levels. Each additional blaze powder adds either. Fire duration starts from one second at the lowest level and at the highest level lasts 4 seconds. Each additional second requires 8 blaze powder to be added. Maximum level is twenty-five blaze powder. You can use Quartz to sharpen and hone the edge of weapons.
The more Quartz is used the better you can sharpen the blade. Works with blunt items as well. Increases attack damage Different weapons scale differently Multiple levels. Working an ender pearl and some obsidian on a weapon has the curious effect of separating the target's head from its body.
Just a little off the top? Adding a diamond to the edge of a tool makes it more resilient and increases what the tool can mine.GitHub is home to over 40 million developers working together to host and review code, manage projects, and build software together. So, what is the best tinker's construct melee weapon type?
And now big, wich i love :D. But, will it get any rightclick uses? Because i think will be good to give it back the block the shieldo ne but with like 5 dura lost per hit blocked, and no damage reflection just that. The battle sign already has the block ability, so adding it to the already powerful cleaver is not only redundant, but removes usefulness of the battle sign. By not having a right click ability, the cleaver can actually use that of another tool or item, so it can use an actual shield or a battle sign in the offhand.
Rapier DMG 2. Now taking DPS. Also The cleaver should get an attack speed of 0. Because for the price of a cleaver you could make 5 and a half other-swords wich is better than that one Just that XD.
Also a way I found for make the cleaver usable while it's recharging it's using shurikens for make the loss of dmg, but it you do that with the broadsword it's still bested by a lot XD.
The cleaver just is a big huge sword that hits hard. If you want more DPS get a faster weapon.
If you want to hit harder at once, use a cleaver. Also you're not taking damage scaling into account.
Maybe the base damage still needs some tweaking. Also, if you will make it two-handed only, increase the attack a bit, i use it because i love it, but the damange it can do it's pretty low I'll take a look, but flint is not really a good material to take as a measurement. Try something with more damage. The test is done in the first minutes, the rest it's something like an explanation. Also, dps doesn't really measure the speed of a weapon, it measures how much damange can a weapon do in a fixed time, it doesn't mean fast.
For example: 10dps could be:. You know I have test dummies for proper DPS testing, right? But well, if you are going to make it two handed, at least make it hit decent, because rightnow you can use, for more effect in combat, any of the other weapons.
